Mr. Freedom

Here’s a clip from Mr. Freedom, William Klein’s uproarious lampoon of American imperialist bravado, available at the Criterion Collection. We watched it on Filmstruck. Absurd, wacked-out, hilarious, and splashy, it strikes me now as prescient, too. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

  1. Oh, maybe I should watch this. It looks pretty funny from the clip. I’m a big fan of William Klein’s photography so it seems like a slam dunk for me.
